The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 is a powerful smart cleaning solution designed to automate everyday floor cleaning. With an impressive 20,000Pa maximum suction power, it can effectively remove dust, debris, pet hair, and fine particles from hard floors and carpets. Its powerful suction system makes it suitable for homes where deep and frequent floor cleaning is required.
One of its standout features is the retractable dToF radar system. The radar can automatically retract when necessary, allowing the robot to clean underneath low-clearance furniture as low as approximately 9.5cm. It uses 360° scanning and intelligent route planning to map the environment and optimize cleaning paths.
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 also features advanced edge and corner cleaning. Its extendable side brush and mop system can move closer to walls and corners, with Xiaomi's listed laboratory testing indicating near 0mm edge distance and 100% corner coverage. The dual anti-tangle brush system with automatic hair-cutting functionality helps reduce hair buildup and maintenance, making it particularly useful for homes with pets.
The included all-in-one self-cleaning base station automates several maintenance tasks. It can automatically collect dust into a 2.5L dust bag, wash the mop pads using hot water at up to 80°C, and dry them with hot air. Star Tech states that the dust bag can last up to 75 days under specified conditions, reducing the need for frequent manual maintenance.
For smart home convenience, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 supports Xiaomi Home app and voice control, including Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Users can schedule cleaning, create custom maps, establish no-go zones, and manage cleaning settings remotely. The 5200mAh nominal-capacity battery provides up to 140 minutes of continuous cleaning according to the Star Tech listing, making it suitable for medium to large homes.
